Offered for sale is a very rare, unique, and tastefully restored 1991 Land Rover Defender 110 Soft Top Conversion. Let me start off by saying this Defender is extremely rare, because it is a true 4 door station wagon with a soft top conversion. It is very hard to find a 4 door station wagon soft top. The Defender is powered by a 300 TDI Turbo Diesel engine, which is the best engine you can put in these trucks. The transmission is the upgraded 5 speed manual transmission, the R380 transmission. The Defender was stripped down to the bare frame, and reassembled on a sand blasted frame. New suspension components were ordered, new steering components, and braking components, and a fuel tank were ordered. Every nut and bolt on this truck has been replaced. This Defender is a very thorough and painstaking restoration. The Soft Top conversion took a very long time to complete. I paid a lot of money to have engine rebuilt which consists of new injectors, rods, pistons, seals, timing kit, head gasket, and more. New alternator, starter, serpetine belt, rocker arms, etc. The transmission was also rebuilt as well. The bulkhead is also new, which is a major bonus for these trucks as well. The hood has been upgraded to a Puma style hood. The wheels are new Wolf wheels, with new tires as well. The Defender has modern upgrades such as back up camera, head unit, power locks, and power windows. The Defender also has new sheet metal throughout the interior, which gives it a very classic look. The seats have been reupholstered with new black leather as well. Once the truck arrived, I took it to a professional upholstery shop, and paid them around $5,000 to install another soft top, made out of the highest quality, and improved the quality of the soft top.
