The annual Monterey Car Week celebrates classic cars of the 20th century, but more automakers are using the event in Monterey, California, to stage a preview of coming attractions. Here are the five best new models that made their debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on Friday and at the week's headlining event, Sunday's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
After an 18-year hiatus, BMW has revived the 8 Series name with the BMW Concept 8 Series, which serves as a preview of the new BMW 8 Series Coupe slated for launch in 2018. The automaker's new flagship model could help the manufacturer compete against Mercedes-Benz, which overtook BMW last year as the world's largest luxury automaker.
